We can all agree that the world has changed over the past two months.
One important thing hasn't changed: the value of coming together to discuss important issues with fellow LISA community members. We may still need to be socially distant, but that doesn't mean we can't be social and keep talking about tech.
We invite you to join us for the first LISA Meet: Q&A sessions on Slack with speakers whose talks appear in the LISA Steering Committee's recent YouTube playlist, focused on working remotely, rapidly scaling our services to manage new use patterns, and taking care of ourselves in a changed world. We'll meet in #discuss on the LISA Slack instance for an hour-long discussion with one of the speakers. Watch the talk beforehand, and then join the conversation.
Our first LISA Meet is scheduled for next week! No advance registration is required—just sign on to the LISA Slack at the appointed time.

Hosted in LISA Slack #discuss
Communicating while working remotely is difficult: talking to coworkers via chat systems or video conferences hides many of the nuances of in-person communication. Jessica describes how to use strategic storytelling when communicating to help add more information. While her description is not specific to working remotely, the same techniques can help fill in details that make remote communication difficult. Watch the talk now, then join us in the LISA Slack #discuss channel for Q&A!
